THE CONTINENTAL RAT – CANIK RECOIL ASSISTED TRIGGER

Available for CANIK METE MC9, SFX Rival/METE, and TP9 Series

The Continental RAT (Recoil Assisted Trigger) is available in three configurations designed for select CANIK pistol platforms.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING!

Select your correct model from the dropdown menu before adding to cart. Compatibility, recoil spring requirements, and potential tuning vary depending on your firearm.

COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION

OPTION 1: METE MC9 SERIES

Designed and primarily tested for:

  • CANIK METE MC9 Prime

Expected to be compatible with (NOT GUARANTEED):

  • CANIK METE MC9

  • CANIK METE MC9L

  • CANIK METE MC9LS

IMPORTANT: Testing was primarily performed on the MC9 Prime. Other tested models appeared to require a higher-force recoil spring. Our test firearms were heavily used, so newer firearms may produce different results.

A higher-force recoil spring may be necessary. We recommend trying the factory spring first.

OPTION 2: SFX RIVAL / METE SERIES

Designed for:

  • CANIK SFX Rival

Expected to be compatible with (NOT GUARANTEED):

  • CANIK METE SF

  • CANIK METE SFX

  • CANIK METE SF Pro

  • CANIK METE SFX Pro

  • CANIK METE SFT

  • CANIK METE SFT Pro

  • CANIK SFX Rival

  • CANIK Rival-S (tuning required)

  • CANIK TTI Combat

  • CANIK TP9 Elite (additional requirements apply)

IMPORTANT: A higher-force recoil spring may be required. TP9 Elite compatibility is not guaranteed and the original product specifications identify a 22 lb recoil spring and heavier ammunition as requirements.

OPTION 3: TP9 SERIES – 4MM CONFIGURATION

Designed for:

  • CANIK TP9 Series with a 4mm slide-lock component passing through the trigger.

IMPORTANT FITMENT WARNING:

TP9 Elite models generally use a 5mm configuration. DO NOT purchase this 4mm version for a TP9 Elite unless you have measured and confirmed the correct size.

A higher-force recoil spring is required according to the original product specifications. A 22 lb recoil spring from Galloway Precision is recommended.

INSTALLATION & TUNING

While we strive to make The Continental RAT a drop-in product, we cannot guarantee drop-in compatibility with every firearm.

Individual firearm tolerances, wear, and configurations can vary. Some fitting or tuning may be required.

We strongly recommend installation and compatibility verification by a qualified professional gunsmith.
