The original creator released The Twitch as a beta-stage FRT concept, noting that printed versions typically lasted only 17–51 rounds in Polymaker PLA Pro before replacement. Our version addresses that weak point by producing the component from 4140 steel, giving users a far more robust option for testing, evaluation, and long-term use.

Why 4140 Steel?

The original beta release specifically mentioned that printed versions had a short service life and that a future improvement could involve using metal for the portion that interacts with the bolt. Our 4140 steel version follows that concept by using a material known for its strength, toughness, and excellent wear resistance.

Compared to PLA Pro, PA-CF, or other printed materials, 4140 steel offers significantly better durability, especially in areas exposed to repeated mechanical contact.

Platform Compatibility

This component was originally designed for the MPA Defender and may fit or be adaptable to other MAC-10 / MAC-11 style firearms. Fitment may vary depending on the firearm, lower receiver, trigger geometry, and manufacturer tolerances.

Lifetime Warranty

We back this product with a Lifetime Warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

If your 4140 steel Twitch FRT component fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it in accordance with our warranty policy. This warranty does not cover misuse, improper installation, illegal use, unsafe testing, unauthorized modification, or damage caused by incompatible host firearms.

Safety Notice

The original beta release included a clear warning that testing experienced out-of-battery detonations during development. While the creator noted that excessive lubrication appeared to reduce or eliminate the issue in limited testing, this remains a beta-stage design concept.
